When most people are asked what they envision when they hear the word "apocalypse", they will say they see a scorched-earth landscape of death and total destruction.

In many ways they are totally correct. But, I think there are levels of apocalypses that happen to a lesser degree in our daily lives. When I look around me, I see these apocalypses happen from anger, ignorance, misconception, people being used and misled, the loss or lack of love in people's lives, the loss of spiritual beliefs and having a conscience of how our actions and thoughts effect everything around us, the lack of insight created by a sense of wonder and awe and, finally, the dedication to fight through our fears and the barriers that stand in our way as we try to help people and reach our true potential.

I know, that is "a mouthful". But, you hopefully get the idea.

Sadly, in the world around us, people are looking for the one-sentence answer to EVERYTHING and are quick to interrupt anyone offering an idea up to ponder ... in mid-sentence. These interruptions, are apocalypses that happens every second all around the world.

So, to address this idea of different levels of apocalypses in our daily lives, I created this album with the intent to merely scratch the surface of a very deep, profound, frustrating, organic and living-and-breathing concept.

All the songs of this album ponder these concepts in several ways, shapes and forms, because no one song can say it all.

So, I ask you you sit back in a comfy chair, put on some good headphones and listen to these songs and I hope they fire-up your heart, soul and desire for understanding and new commitments.

Oddly enough, as I was writing these songs, I did find a very important secret to understanding our world and oddly enough, it IS laid out in one-sentence. Moreover, it is a sentence we ALL (well, hopefully, ALL), have heard. Quite simply it is this: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". In other words, it's the good, old "Golden Rule"...i.e. treat people BETTER than you would have them treat you.

So simple and so hard.

Perhaps, if we could do that, the number and severity of our daily "apocalypses" would decrease to a level that is yet to be determined or imagined. Could peaceful understanding await on the end of that process?
